With support from Metabo, VIDEOTON Elektro-PLAST Kft. donated cordless drill-drivers manufactured at our plant to support vocational training at Eötvös Loránd Technical School in Kaposvár. The donation was presented on 16 October during the school’s open day.

Balázs Fábián, Managing Director of VIDEOTON Elektro-PLAST Kft., handed over the 12 tools, together with batteries and chargers, to Szilvia Takács, the school’s Principal. The equipment will support practical training, allowing students to use the tools as they develop their professional skills.

A shared commitment to training future professionals

Our company’s relationship with Eötvös goes back decades. The school trains young people in several professions that are also important to our operations. These include electricians, electronics technicians and manufacturing technology technicians.

Currently, 12 Eötvös students are gaining practical experience at our company. Six are training as electricians, five as electronics technicians and one as a manufacturing technology technician.

We believe young people should have access to modern technologies and equipment at school as well as in the workplace. Wherever possible, we also contribute to improving facilities for practical training at the school.

Building on previous support

Eötvös has received equipment from VIDEOTON on several previous occasions to support technical education. Our earlier donations include a 3D printer and fume extraction systems for workstations.

The newly donated Metabo tools further expand the equipment available for practical lessons. Our aim is to help students gain as much practical experience as possible during their school years. This will allow them to enter the workplace with knowledge and skills they can build on throughout their careers.
