As part of the nationwide “Pick It Up! – Volunteering for a Clean Hungary” initiative, participants worked together to collect litter in their local surroundings. The voluntary programme gave our colleagues in both cities an opportunity to help keep their immediate environment clean.

Working Together Outdoors

Equipped with gloves and collection bags, we made our way around the area. We picked up litter along pavements, around trees and on grassy areas.

We often pass these places during our daily routines. This time, we stopped and worked together to make them cleaner for everyone. With fellow volunteers joining us, there were more hands to help. The activity also gave participants a chance to meet and chat.

Keeping Our Surroundings Clean Is a Shared Responsibility

The campaign’s tangible result is a cleaner area, but everyday care is just as important. By disposing of waste properly, we can all help keep these spaces clean in the long term.
